A distinguished healthcare executive, Dr. Boutros previously served as the CEO of The MetroHealth System in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was recognized for transformative leadership and innovation. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Downstate Health Sciences University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from St. John’s University. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades, including being named one of Modern Healthcare’s Most Influential Clinical Leaders.

A Co-Founder of Nexus Bedside, Alex brings over 30 years of experience in launching, developing, and managing healthcare staffing and pharmaceutical services companies.

With a strong background in both business and engineering, he holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida. His career reflects a consistent focus on innovation and growth within the healthcare industry.

Bret Shillingstad serves as Chief Medical Officer of Nexus, where he helps shape the company’s clinical strategy, product direction, and approach to transforming care delivery across the hospital and beyond.

He is the founder of Telemetrix and previously held senior leadership roles at Epic, bringing extensive experience at the intersection of clinical operations, healthcare technology, and enterprise-scale implementation. Throughout his career, Bret has focused on improving how technology supports clinicians, strengthens care coordination, and delivers better outcomes for patients.

At Nexus, he plays a central role in unifying inpatient, remote, and longitudinal care through a connected operating model designed to make healthcare more efficient, intelligent, and human.

Tess Boutros serves as Chief Communications & Culture Officer at Nexus, where she has been a foundational member of the team since the company’s inception. In her role, she leads the company’s communications, culture, brand, investor relations, and executive engagement strategies, helping shape how Nexus presents itself to employees, investors, customers, strategic partners, and the broader healthcare market.

Working closely with the CEO and executive leadership team, Tess has played a central role in the company’s growth, including fundraising, corporate development, organizational integration, executive communications, and the development of Nexus’ internal operating culture. She is known for translating complex business and clinical strategies into clear, compelling narratives while ensuring the company’s people, values, and mission remain at the center of its growth.

Tess brings extensive experience supporting C-suite leaders, managing high-stakes stakeholder relationships, and building brands within luxury and service-driven industries. A graduate of The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center, she applies world-class service and leadership principles to the employee, customer, and investor experience. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from LIM College.

Jasmine brings 10 years of combines technology leadership and clinical operations experience to her role as Chief Technology Officer. Most recently, she served as a Technology Executive at KeyBank leading a team of over 100 technologists responsible for delivery, support, and strategy of marketing and branch platforms, in addition to leading the bank’s multi-year cloud modernization inititative.

Prior to her time at KeyBank, Jasmine led the Children’s Cancer Center & Outpatient Access at Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital. She earned her Juris Doctor and Masters of Business Administration degrees from Case Western Reserve University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from New York University.

Maxy Mathew is a recognized nursing informatics executive and transformational healthcare leader dedicated to ensuring technology empowers clinicians and improves patient care. Passionate about giving nurses a meaningful voice in technology design and clinical workflow optimization, she believes innovation should simplify care, improve outcomes, and enhance the clinician experience.

Throughout her career, Maxy has led enterprise clinical transformation initiatives focused on EMR strategy and design, workflow optimization, digital transformation, interoperability, virtual care, and technology adoption. She is committed to reducing documentation, visual, and cognitive burden so clinicians can spend more time delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while advancing patient safety, quality outcomes, operational excellence, and clinician satisfaction.

As Senior Vice President of Clinical Informatics & Transformation, Maxy leads the strategy for clinical innovation and connected care solutions that seamlessly integrate clinical and operational systems. Working alongside nursing, physician, operational, and technology leaders, she develops scalable, evidence-based solutions that improve efficiency while preserving the human connection at the heart of healthcare.

Maxy believes innovation should serve a greater purpose: giving clinicians more time to comfort, heal, and connect. She remains committed to building a future where technology seamlessly supports care in the background—reducing complexity, transforming the delivery of care, and giving every nurse more time to care for patients with compassion, presence, and purpose.

Ryan serves as Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations, bringing diverse hands-on experience in orthopedics, medical-surgical care, and oncology. He has successfully managed multi-site outpatient cancer centers and has played a key role in developing and enhancing staffing efficiency models. A dedicated healthcare professional, Ryan is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Akron.

With over a decade of experience in both automotive and technology sales and leasing, Tyler Weaver brings a rare blend of industry insight and operational expertise to his role as Director of Operations and Customer Experience. He has led traditional and commercial automotive departments and managed large-scale technology sales teams, consistently driving results through a strong focus on process optimization and customer satisfaction.

Tyler’s professional strengths include operational efficiency, Lean Six Sigma methodology, process and change management, and end-to-end project execution. He has a proven track record in training and development, procurement, and successful system implementation—skills that have helped organizations streamline operations and enhance customer engagement.

Known for his strategic mindset and hands-on style, Tyler is passionate about building scalable solutions that deliver both immediate and long-term value to customers and internal teams alike.

Kayden is the Client Success Partner for Nexus Bedside at OU Health, where she bridges clinical expertise with innovative virtual nursing solutions. With a background in patient experience operations and critical care nursing, she leverages her leadership and data-driven approach to improve outcomes for patients, nurses, and health systems. Kayden earned her Doctor and Master of Healthcare Administration from Oklahoma State University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma Christian University

Katrina serves as Office Manager at Nexus, supporting the executive team and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Cleveland office. Her primary focus is managing the CEO’s calendar, coordinating priorities, and helping ensure the executive team operates efficiently.

Before joining Nexus, Katrina built her career in luxury automotive sales, where she worked closely with high-net-worth individuals and developed a strong foundation in client service, discretion, relationship management, and attention to detail. She brings that same high-touch approach to her role at Nexus, helping create an organized, professional, and welcoming environment for the team, partners, and visitors.
